Website privacy
This website uses private, first-party analytics to understand which services and journey features are useful.
What is counted
- Successful public page requests, with repeat loads counted separately.
- Broad browser, device, operating system, language and referral categories.
- Approximate network country and, where available, city, network operator and known relay categories. Local datasets perform these lookups. A VPN or relay can change the reported place.
- Anonymous totals for sections reached, 3D and free-roam activations, images and documents opened, navigation and fixed link categories.
- Visible time in five-second units. Hidden tabs are paused. These measurements do not prove that someone was reading.
No visitor IDs, analytics tracking cookies, fingerprints or individual browsing histories are created. Raw IP addresses, browser headers, referral URLs, query strings, form contents, camera positions and vehicle movements are not saved in analytics. Visitor location permission is never requested.
Privacy controls and storage
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals exclude analytics collection. Prefetches and known automation are excluded from ordinary page-view totals; separate aggregate crawler categories do not prove indexing or human visits. Other automation may remain.
Daily totals are retained for 400 days in a private database on the company server. Reports require owner authentication. These are request, activation and visible-period counts, not counts of distinct people. Browser reports can be missing or blocked.
The private owner check-in and analytics pages are excluded. Opening an authenticated owner page sets a boolean exclusion preference on that browser. This preference contains no identifier, authentication key or location. The website also remembers a chosen full or low-data view.
Marcus’s location map
The travel map uses Marcus’s manually supplied, approximate check-ins. It does not locate visitors. Only the latest country’s calendar update date is public; earlier dates and the private check-in key are not public.
External links and datasets
External sites have their own privacy terms. Analytics uses local DB-IP country, city and ASN data, with public Google, Microsoft, Apple and Tor lists for crawler and relay classification. Dataset updates do not send visitor addresses to those providers. Map outlines use Natural Earth data.
